Product details

Spirulina is a type of lower plant belonging to the phylum Cyanobacteria and the family Oscillatoria. They do not have a true nucleus in their cells, so they are also called cyanobacteria. The cell structure of cyanobacteria is primitive and very simple. It is the earliest photosynthetic organism on Earth and has survived on this planet for 3.5 billion years. It grows in water bodies and can be seen under a microscope as a spiral filament, hence the name.

Spirulina species mainly include three categories: Spirulina maxima, Spirulina platensis, and Spirulina salt. As health products, Spirulina maxima and Spirulina platensis are the main ones. Spirulina platensis and Spirulina maxima are the best varieties of Spirulina. The difference between Spirulina maxima and Spirulina platensis is that Spirulina maxima has longer algae filaments and wider pitch. But in terms of nutrients, Spirulina platensis has higher nutrients and is easier to absorb, so all spirulina consumed internationally is Spirulina platensis. Spirulina platensis is an excellent variety widely promoted in the world. This algae has been widely collected and eaten by humans for hundreds of years. In 1960, French scientist Clement conducted extensive research on the nutritional value and health benefits of Spirulina platensis and found that it has huge economic and social benefits. Later, scholars from various countries also conducted extensive research.

Application

1. An important material for making cosmetics. Friends who like to study cosmetics may be familiar with spirulina, because high-end cosmetics generally contain spirulina extracts or related applications. SOD, as one of the main ingredients of spirulina, has very obvious effects in improving our skin quality, promoting metabolic circulation, and delaying aging.

2. Medical and health materials. Spirulina can not only enhance the original efficacy of drugs, but also reduce the side effects of drugs, so many drugs are added with an appropriate amount of spirulina to optimize the composition of the drugs. More importantly, spirulina can also play a role in prevention and health care, which is very helpful for improving the body's own immunity.

3.Food field. Spirulina can be divided into feed grade and food grade according to different uses. Feed grade spirulina powder is generally used in aquaculture and animal husbandry. Food grade spirulina powder is more beneficial in preventing "three highs" and is also helpful for weight loss. As people's health awareness becomes higher and higher, spirulina has gradually been used in the food industry. Spirulina is added to flour, beer, yogurt, etc.
